a poet writes
mind’s eyes in the distance
a feeling awakes
deep in the heart of me
timid footsteps i takes
towards telling you now
how i felt then
kissing the words
as you did then
and a story is told
how it was foretold
that I would write this
poem a kiss
born again anew
and all just for you
