who says the poem a moped

so who will dare say this or that is not a poem

definitely and definitively 

that poem written by that poet

that poet who wrote that poem

who will stand forward and say

you are not a poet that is not a poem

where and when does the template for a poem

give way at the boundary state of a non-poem

like repeatedly halving the distance between a bullet and its target 

asserting that this is proof that it never hits bull’s eye

same can be said of the distance between a poem and a non-poem

that the point where a poem meets a non-poem does not exist

so where no one at all resides how can an adjudication stand

in this no-man’s-land of shell holes where words are fissile

let me stand for what cannot be and proclaim 

how dare you
