are you mad
alone in a winter sea
breaking on the rock
between life and death
no further it beats
a heart gripped
by the wide eyes
of a malevolence
a grimaced smile
a sneer seething
the pebbled growling
of an unsure shore
hidden in the trough
of a depression
in the
waves
two shining black walls
a gull ripped black sky
driftwood winking
over there over here
a deep breath decides
