it’s a real killer
if we are not killing big things
we are killing the little things
that the big things depend on
and it is killing me that
life is driven by the food of killing
take yeast for example
bread is full of vacuoles
filled with the dying breaths of yeast
the microbiome dying in my gut
is keeping me sane
the only everlasting thing in life is death
are you alive to that
if you are not then
you are wrapped in the enigma
of a euphemism
in the chapel of rest
