idolising adolescence
it isn’t
they say childhood drifts into adulthood
it doesn’t
(some never do they postulate)
but when it does happen it is a jolt
like ECT
the mind is reset
or should that be propelled into
the unknown but knowing
that childhood is a memory
you read of second-childhoods
and hope against hope
