they were all wearing masks
in the photo it was
very interesting
almost an optical illusion
there are no bodies
only faces
yet they are not faces
but stimuli to our inner prejudices
a wall of preconceptions
that cannot be circumvented
until it is seen as such
masks are a gateway
locked with a combination
of expressions
then i thought
who drew the masks
were they on this side of the illusion
or the other side
how many sides are there to an illusion
when the mask slips
who replaces it
and then there is the elastic
that snaps back in
ouch
oh i don’t know
