cutting the curve
the Möbius curve of life
take a knife to it
and it becomes twice the life it was
oh yes we see the curve
when we are outside of it
but cut our lives and ask
are we twice what we
were before
or half
if our half-life increases
do we live twice as long
are we on the curve
or are we the curve
we ask the answer
do the signposts
point to the future
or to the past
where we have been
or where we went
is the future ahead
or behind us
the answer laughed and laughed
