today’s swim
to the east as i went in
the sky was black BLACK the blackest black
the surf was white WHITE the whitest white
the sea silver SILVER the silverest silver
just me and a seal
further out
in the roaring pushing
never i said have i seen such as this
again i said it AGAIN never
have i seen such as this
